Welcome to Fernweh's Test Drive Meme! Do you have an interest in joining the game? Need to make sure the setting works for you and your character first? SCENARIOS

01. Arrival

You have been sitting and staring at the sign above you for some time now, lost in a blur of swirling questions that seems to start with how you ended up there; in a place (and time, maybe) that you know you weren't an hour earlier. Or maybe you're an old hand at this by now and you've figured out that this is simply another stop that the multiverse bus has made. So why not get off and look around a little?

At any rate, the sign points you towards the direction of a place called "Gazin", which looks like a decent-sized town from where you stand. There has to be someone who can explain.

02. Around Town

So, you've settled in. Well, mostly. At least you know where things are without taking too many wrong turns and ending up in the less desirable areas of town. But now you can go about your day. Visit the market, check out the local shops or have a drink with a new friend at one of several inns.

03. Exploring

You've heard people talk about some pretty interesting places and now you're itching to get out and find them. Be careful though, there are creatures and monsters out there that will be pretty interested in meeting you and may wish to have you for its next meal. Better take someone along. And maybe some weapons, too. Make sure one is made of silver.

04. Monsters

So, you managed to find that location you were looking for. Good for you! Only.. it seems you've also found one of the native creatures to the area and you now face to face with it. Um. Good luck! We'll see you when you get back!

05. Celebration

It won't take long for you to figure out that people of Gazin are, all in all, pretty happy people. It shows, too, when a seemingly quiet evening suddenly bursts into a random, impromptu party to celebrate whatever good fortune has touched a person. Name Days, good harvests, betrothals, weddings, or just life in general.

Sing, dance, drink and be happy, too!

01. ARRIVAL

Emma sat on the rock staring at the sign above her head. Killian, Hook, whatever he went by was nowhere to be found, not that she had looked particularly hard, no she was in too much shock to look for anyone at the moment. She had just been sucked into a portal, yeah, but she was pretty sure it wasn't a place called Gazin.

If there was a tree remotely close to where she sat, she would be hitting her head against it because she wishes this was the first time she ended up in a place that she didn't belong. Displacement was becoming old hat to the savior, well, best be getting to it then, find a way home and not dying would be an added bonus.

Exploring

Emma felt most comfortable with a sword in her hand and she wasn't one for celebrations unless they were mandatory so she took the opportunity to explore the world around her. A crack of a branch had her spinning around, sword raised.

"Who's there?"

"Emma?" The voice was soft, as he stepped for the trees, and smiled. Merlin strode toward her with his robe trailing sparks that lit the area, but caught nothing on fire.

"Welcome to the weird once more." His grin was lopsided, and he nodded to her, very happy to see her.

Emma whirled around at the sound of her name being spoken. Her shoulders sagged in relief, at least she knew one person. "Merlin?" She questioned back because for all she knew, she was in another version of hell of her own making and she was imagining her friend.

"What's the last thing you remember?"

"Hello, Emma." At her question, he grinned, and stepped close.

"Kissing you inNew Dodge."

His eyebrows did a waggle as he spoke.

Emma laughs out loud, not really caring if she was heard. She barrelled into Merlin's arms, trusting that he wouldn't let them fall. She pulls back a bright smile on her face, as she leans down and kisses him again.

"You know if you wanted me to kiss you, all you had to do is ask, not run all over the multiverse," She quipped before leaning down again.

Merlin grins as he hugs her and smiles warmly, kissing her back without hesitation. It has been too long.

"Always. And, my dear lady, you know me. I never do anything small." His eyes dance with amusement, and with happiness.

Emma felt like she had lived three lifetimes since she had last seen Merlin, she wasn't about to let the moment go to waste. Eventually, she needed to breathe, he probably could kiss her all day without breathing and not even break a sweat. Part of Emma wanted to find out but she shook her head slightly to derail those particular thoughts.

Emma laughed her head back slightly, her eyes dancing. "Yeah, don't I know it. But, could you start?"

Merlin laughed and snerked.

"Me? Can I? Yes. Will I? Unlikely. Sadly, I cannot claim the credit this time. The multiverse decided we needed a new kissing spot so it brought us here."

He grinned at her.

That was ... probably not why they had been brought here? But well who knew?

Emma laughed too at him, well, not at him but more his antics. She shoved him gently in the arm.

"Sush," She laughed again. "Somehow I doubt the multiverse gives a rats ass where we kiss. However nice that it is," She added grinning at him.

"Do you know what this place is?"

"Exactly? No. But it is easy to see if it another nexus, like New Dodge, and the Enterprise before that place. A place where many will be drawn, and where strange things will happen."

He gently touched her face.

"A chance, once more, for us to hope for peace, and fight for that peace when hope fails."

"Your mom."

The retort came easily. Frost had her hand up and outstretched, cold air easily coming off of her palms, ready to shoot if the sword got a little too close.

"Cool sword."

Her fingers curled toward her palm and an ice dagger solidified in her hands.

"Looking a little jumpy there."

"That's the best you can come up with?" Emma asked, her eyebrow arched. Her eyes went to the woman's hand and then back to her face.

"Thanks. Cool Dagger," She responded in kind. "Wouldn't you be if you were in a western space town yesterday and here today?"

Western. Space. Town. Frost doesn't lower her guard but her disbelief was written all over her face.

"Are you serious? A western space town? Whatever Earth you're from has got to have breachers with weird senses of humor."

Emma laughed softly, shaking her head. "Nope, no joke and no breaches... I don't think. Are they like portals?"

Emma didn't happen to think that anyone in New Dodge had a sense of humor but maybe she was wrong. She hadn't been there long enough to tell.

"Where are you from?"

"Kind of like portals. I'm from Earth One. Central City."

Still, she doesn't lower her dagger.

"Are we gonna have a civilized conversation or continue to hold pointy things at each other?"

Emma is good a reading people but she couldn't get a clear read on this woman, but somehow she knew that she wasn't a threat so she lowered her sword.

"Better? There is more than one earth where you're from?"

"More than you can shake a sword at."

Frost scoffs and the ice dagger disappears.

"99 as far as I know. Might be more but we haven't quite gotten to world hopping."

Thor had never been one for stealth, not needing it with raw strength and Mjolnir in his hand, so when he makes his way through the forest, he's not surprised to snag a branch with his armor and rend it in two. Asgardian plate and weaponry is made of the finest metal, after all, and more than capable of destroying tree trunks, much less mere branches. What he doesn't necessarily expect, though, is to frighten a woman who is also making her way through this forest.

"Apologies, my lady. I meant no distress or harm - I'm not just a very quiet man, I fear."

Emma gripped the hilt of the sword tighter eying the man in front of her warily. His words, however, didn't match his physique and that alone piqued Emma's curiosity.

"I can see that, " She did smile a bit. "Are you from around here?"

"Are any of us from around here? I was brought here, same as the rest of the people I've met of late. It seems we were all pulled away from our lives and not allowed to return."

Thor has often explored other realms but it has always been on his own terms. This feels too much like his exile to Midgard and is eerie; he doesn't care for it.
