SCENARIOS

01. Arrival

You have been sitting and staring at the sign above you for some time now, lost in a blur of swirling questions that seems to start with how you ended up there; in a place (and time, maybe) that you know you weren't an hour earlier. Or maybe you're an old hand at this by now and you've figured out that this is simply another stop that the multiverse bus has made. So why not get off and look around a little?

At any rate, the sign points you towards the direction of a place called "Gazin", which looks like a decent-sized town from where you stand. There has to be someone who can explain.

02. Around Town

So, you've settled in. Well, mostly. At least you know where things are without taking too many wrong turns and ending up in the less desirable areas of town. But now you can go about your day. Visit the market, check out the local shops or have a drink with a new friend at one of several inns.

03. Exploring

You've heard people talk about some pretty interesting places and now you're itching to get out and find them. Be careful though, there are creatures and monsters out there that will be pretty interested in meeting you and may wish to have you for its next meal. Better take someone along. And maybe some weapons, too. Make sure one is made of silver.

04. Monsters

So, you managed to find that location you were looking for. Good for you! Only.. it seems you've also found one of the native creatures to the area and you now face to face with it. Um. Good luck! We'll see you when you get back!

05. Celebration

It won't take long for you to figure out that people of Gazin are, all in all, pretty happy people. It shows, too, when a seemingly quiet evening suddenly bursts into a random, impromptu party to celebrate whatever good fortune has touched a person. Name Days, good harvests, betrothals, weddings, or just life in general.

Sing, dance, drink and be happy, too!

01. Arrival
[Zoë can't help but look around at the environment. It's nothing like the planet she and the rest of the crew had been on just...It was just a moment ago that she'd been talking to her husband after saving Inara's friend. And now, she's in the middle of some field with a sign pointing to a place she's never, ever heard of and no husband in sight.]

Wash? You here?

[She looks again, hoping a familiar face will pop up.]

Captain? Kaylee?

02. Town

You're joking right?

[She looks at the silver sword that the man behind the counter has given her. Incredulous isn't the word. She's in downright disbelief. They used swords on Earth that was and a few of the planets still have "duels" with swords, but they're...ancient.]

You're telling me that this is the best weapon you've got against the things that go bump in the forest? Do you even know what bullets are? What am I supposed to do with this against a beast?

[She puts her rifle on the merchant's counter almost reverently before taking out her Mare's Leg from the holster at her side and setting it down as well.]

I need bullets, .44 caliber. That make any sense to you?

05. Celebration

[It's someone's wedding. Everyone is dancing, laughing, singing and just having a grand time. Zoë, on the other hand, looks blank. She smiles and raises her glass when someone passes by her, but her heart's just not in it.

She misses her husband. So ta made niao much. He might be crazy and goofy, but that is definitely part of his charm.

And if he was here, they'd be dancing and drinking together, probably laughing at Mal as he tries to blend in with the locals.]

Last time I was at a wedding, my best friend was the groom and he didn't know it.

[She says that with a smile as she takes a deep drink from her mug.]

Hoping this groom at least got some say in his future life.

In general, you would be expected to stab them.

[ Wen Qing nods at the sword that Zoe had been scoffing at. She may not be without sympathy, being a long-distance fighter who arrived without her weapons but she can't understand what's so terrible about a sword in general, either.

Qing sizes her up curiously, between her dress and her foreign weapons it's obvious this woman isn't from around here. ]

Unless you're trained in fighting supernatural creatures, it's best if you avoid the forest, though.

[Duo's on his way to work, rolling his shoulders once before he lifts his arms up to stretch. He's still getting use to actual blacksmith work, but he's finding it becoming easier.

Hell, getting use to Gazin is becoming easier. Being a space brat thrown into this...primitive isn't the word that should be use, but all things considered, it's the best word he can think. What was it he had said before? Something about adapting being the best skill to have? He'll go with that.

It's while he's actually walking, waving to a couple of the folks working the stalls when he hears someone talking about guns. He instantly stops and looks around for the voice, his eyes landing on a woman who stands out like a sore thumb. She didn't seem all that happy, and the merchant's a mix of confused and scared.

Maybe he should step in?]

Hate to tell ya this, lady, but you're not going to be finding any rounds in this place.

[Duo steps forward, offering the merchant a wink and a bright smile before turning to the woman standing a bit taller than himself. He's just gonna give this poor merchant a break while talking about something he actually knows about.]

I'm going to take a shot in the dark and say you're not from around here.
