01. Arrival
You have been sitting and staring at the sign above you for some time now, lost in a blur of swirling questions that seems to start with how you ended up there; in a place (and time, maybe) that you know you weren't an hour earlier. Or maybe you're an old hand at this by now and you've figured out that this is simply another stop that the multiverse bus has made. So why not get off and look around a little?
At any rate, the sign points you towards the direction of a place called "Gazin", which looks like a decent-sized town from where you stand. There has to be someone who can explain.
02. Around Town
So, you've settled in. Well, mostly. At least you know where things are without taking too many wrong turns and ending up in the less desirable areas of town. But now you can go about your day. Visit the market, check out the local shops or have a drink with a new friend at one of several inns.
03. Exploring
You've heard people talk about some pretty interesting places and now you're itching to get out and find them. Be careful though, there are creatures and monsters out there that will be pretty interested in meeting you and may wish to have you for its next meal. Better take someone along. And maybe some weapons, too. Make sure one is made of silver.
04. Monsters
So, you managed to find that location you were looking for. Good for you! Only.. it seems you've also found one of the native creatures to the area and you now face to face with it. Um. Good luck! We'll see you when you get back!
Hopefully.
05. Celebration
It won't take long for you to figure out that people of Gazin are, all in all, pretty happy people. It shows, too, when a seemingly quiet evening suddenly bursts into a random, impromptu party to celebrate whatever good fortune has touched a person. Name Days, good harvests, betrothals, weddings, or just life in general.
Sing, dance, drink and be happy, too!
06. Wild Card!
Want something else? Feel free to choose your own adventure or mix and match to create something completely different!

Harry Dresden - Dresden Files + CRAU (19 years old)
Harry blinked and stared at the sign above him, grinning lopsidedly. When he had wished he could get away from normal life, he had not really meant this, but then he should know better than to wish for anything. Apparently, places and people might well be listening!
He laughed, relieved to be here, and not in Minnesota, where he had been having the goodbye conversation with his mentor, Ebeneezer and feeling uncomfortable as all heck. He was very glad, very very glad, that he had been wearing his coat and holding his duffle bag and staff when he had bamfed here, and he felt like he was grinning from ear to ear,
Who said that wishes didn't come true?
Having been through this sort of thing before, he headed into town with a very on-tune whistle and a smile, looking for lodgings, a drink, and somewhere to ask questions.
His duffle bag full of clothing followed him, bouncing around and keeping close to his heels as if it was a very eager dog.
He was very glad that his mentor, after his last jaunt in time and space had insisted in him carrying a small amount of money of all kinds. This place, as he came in seeing distance of the town, looked likely like no paper money would work, but he had three golden coins, carefully weighed and purified. Hopefully, those would buy him some clothing and a place to stay while he found a job and figured out what this place's schtick was.

Around Town
Harry was smiling as he wandered, wearing clothing that suits the local area, his home clothes packed away for any trips long enough to need more than just the three outfits he bought when he had arrived. He was very glad he had been working at the farm these last few years, for it had led him to do a lot of physical labor and also to learn things like post-driving, well digging, and barn raising, as well as how to wash clothing by hand on a washing board. These skills had suited him well since he arrived.
Now he was off work at the local inn, having gotten a job as a clothing and rag washer when he demonstrated he knew how. That, plus doing odd jobs as a wagon driver and helping with anything that needed doing, kept him in some coin and helped him get to know people. As he stepped to the market, he smiled and looked around. he would be there picking at things, and possibly buying a few knick-knacks, as well as materials for his magic.
Later, he would stop in at the inn and eat dinner, and then wander in the forest some.

Monsters
"Stars and stones!"
Harry swore as he dove to one side, eyes narrowed as he stared into his mirror-bright shield. Why was he here again? Oh right, someone had been talking about losing a loved one to the marauding basilisk. He had decided to come face it.
Why had he done so alone?
He sighed as he spun his sling, the glint of silver in the pouch as he spoke a single word, hurling fire at the beast to distract it and diving to one side to get a better angle. Waiting for it to roar.
If he didn't get himself killed, this might well net him some good things for his own spells and some stuff he could sell to the apothecary! If...

Celebration
The basilisk is dead, and people are happy and apparently it is also a festival day! And Harry? Tonight, Harry is drinking. Why not? it could be fun! He wears his sunglasses, whether inside or out, keeping himself and others safe from his soulgaze.
He can be found at the food table, happily consuming drinks and food, dancing like a crazy person with no rhythm, or sitting to the side and taking notes as others dance and talk. He is a nerd, after all.
Feel free to find him anywhere!

Basilisks were bastards in stories, poems, movies, and even more so when they were being provoked by...anything. When she heard all the commotion and saw the flash of fire, she had several silver-tipped arrows ready from her quiver. She fired precisely, hitting the throat area and an eye. The arrows were made to melt into the target, poisoning it - or killing it outright. At any rate, it would help them. Merlan and paired it with a reflective shield that sang out, buying her time to slide in next to the incredibly brave or incredibly foolish man taking on the creature.
An acid spray would be...unfortunate.
"You really should have found a few more people for this," she said, singing out a stronger binding that would tighten the more the beast struggled. "But I think we can make it work."

Her campsite was warded against beasts, mostly, each set up at the corners to ping her and set up unpleasant feedback for them should they try to drop in for a snack. Her tent was large and set with proper tent pegs driven into the ground. It was plain enough, burlap coated with beeswax to keep moisture and rain out. She'd laid the carpet out first, made to fit inside the tent's protective covering where rain could sheet off properly. The angle would help the run-off even if she hadn't used a touch of magic to be certain things stayed comfortable.
Her campfire was brightly lit and she sat loosely robed, playing around with lilting tunes on her new lute. The music sent up all kinds of bird and butterfly-shaped sparks which made her laugh every time. Her lute definitely liked her company, that was for sure, and the birds chased the butterflies through the trees looping through the leaves and branches.
Monsters
He grinned at her anyway and then eyed the beast in his net and aimed, before loosing a blast of fire toward it. "Fuego!"
Of course, blast, in this case, meant dropping a ball of fire on the thing with thunderous noise. But eh?
It screamed bloody murder, and Harry ducked down under his shield again.
Re: Monsters
"I got the silver in, which will weaken it," Merlan said matter-of-factly. "Now, what else is effective against basilisk?" A Teaching Moment, she supposed. At the moment, fireballs were just pissing it off. Binding and blinding was the real nature of the game, so, with the binding part working - until about four minutes from, now, they needed better options.
More silver would have been a better start.
She drew an arrow, waiting for it to swing around on them with its good eye. Maybe three arrows. Yes, she could do three at once, fairly accurately. The more silver the merrier. And if she did this next part right...Merlan sang out an incantation, burying a hand hard against the earth. As they flew, the arrows spread out into a liquid that divided and connected again fed as she drew silver from the earth and flung it to add to thickening the binding.
Hopefully, he'd get the gist of it and know either a water or storm drawing spell. Venom and murder by gaze were it's particular killing methods right along with swallowing one whole, and poisonous glands. Acid spraying would also really just suck, right now. It was up to her friend, here, really.
Re: Monsters
"What else works well? I don't exactly have a lot of experience with basilisks..."
He eyed her, and considered her words.
"What makes you happy? Can you think of whatever it is, very loudly?"
It was a seemingly random question, but he was dragging out a handkerchief, and humming a song that had a fast beat to it as he asked, other hand already moving just so over the hand that held it. It was rune-sewn, and white, with the runes sewn in with golden thread.
