01. Arrival
You have been sitting and staring at the sign above you for some time now, lost in a blur of swirling questions that seems to start with how you ended up there; in a place (and time, maybe) that you know you weren't an hour earlier. Or maybe you're an old hand at this by now and you've figured out that this is simply another stop that the multiverse bus has made. So why not get off and look around a little?
At any rate, the sign points you towards the direction of a place called "Gazin", which looks like a decent-sized town from where you stand. There has to be someone who can explain.
02. Around Town
So, you've settled in. Well, mostly. At least you know where things are without taking too many wrong turns and ending up in the less desirable areas of town. But now you can go about your day. Visit the market, check out the local shops or have a drink with a new friend at one of several inns.
03. Exploring
You've heard people talk about some pretty interesting places and now you're itching to get out and find them. Be careful though, there are creatures and monsters out there that will be pretty interested in meeting you and may wish to have you for its next meal. Better take someone along. And maybe some weapons, too. Make sure one is made of silver.
04. Monsters
So, you managed to find that location you were looking for. Good for you! Only.. it seems you've also found one of the native creatures to the area and you now face to face with it. Um. Good luck! We'll see you when you get back!
Hopefully.
05. Celebration
It won't take long for you to figure out that people of Gazin are, all in all, pretty happy people. It shows, too, when a seemingly quiet evening suddenly bursts into a random, impromptu party to celebrate whatever good fortune has touched a person. Name Days, good harvests, betrothals, weddings, or just life in general.
Sing, dance, drink and be happy, too!
06. Wild Card!
Want something else? Feel free to choose your own adventure or mix and match to create something completely different!
Claire Temple | MCU (Netflix)
Having been at the settlement before this, it was nice to have people co-existing along with the arrivals and not treating them like they were an enemy. Sure, there had been curiosity but there were others that had arrived before her and that had acted as a buffer and life in the town of Gazin had continued on despite the upheaval.
When a celebration starts at the local inn, Claire is more than happy to partake. Life back home wasn't exactly great and sadness seems to still linger around the edges, especially when she thinks about Luke and what had happened between them the last time they saw one another. But, a friendly attitude is present as the nurse finds a table to sit at with a drink she thinks is something closer to beer than whiskey.
06. Wild Card

"You're a nurse?" All he wants is confirmation. "This is going to sound like a strange request." Especially coming from a seemingly sane man dressed in a vest and tie. "Please tell me I'm not about to die."

So, when the guy approaches her, she'd been offering her services to another man with a nasty cut on his hand in exchange for a heavy cloak that would keep her warmer than she was right then.
Once finished, her attention goes to Graham and Claire nods before her expression quickly shifts to one of confusion.
"Well, it takes more to decide that than just looking at you," the nurse replies, brown eyes starting to look him over for any obvious signs of imminent death as she puts the cloak over her shoulders. "Are you hurt?"
no subject
"I had some sort of attack just before I arrived here, but then it stopped, and I feel fine now, but I just want to know that it's not going to happen again."
Confusing, yes. But less confusing than the truth, and she wouldn't believe that if he told her. He wouldn't have believed it before he saw the memories that couldn't possibly belong to Graham Humbert, the sheriff of Storybrooke.
no subject
"What sort of attack? Like an animal? Or something else?" Claire questions further. Looking at him, he seems fine, coherent, his eyes look fine, he's not bleeding anywhere that she can see but what looks normal on the outside may far from the case on the inside.
no subject
He's guessing that's what happened, anyway.

Quietly, she counts the beats and looks up at him before shrugging. "Well, your pulse is good and strong. I don't have my stethoscope on me but if you say you feel fine I would say you're definitely not about to die."
Claire releases her hold on his hand.
"Panic attacks can present heart attack symptoms though. Were you in a situation that might have caused one before you got here?"
no subject
"I suppose that could be it." Accepting that explanation is easier than trying to get her to believe the truth of the situation.
celebration
"Evening, miss. I hope you're enjoying this weird little town."
He is smiling as he sweeps to a nearby table, sitting in a chair heavily with a mug of beer, resting on a break as he does so. Its somehow easier to come here and survive after the last place he was. Its... quieter.

Giving the man a nod, the nurse offers a warm smile. "It's a lot better than the last place I was in. It seems like a great community."
There was a pause as she took a sip from her cup.
"What about you? You look like you already know you're way around here."
The fact he was working for the inn said he'd been around for awhile.
no subject
He nods back at her, grinning. relaxing from work, he hmms at her words.
"I like it a lot. In a week or so, I have found that the people are interesting and that I am enjoying working a job I have before, as a bartender. Looking for answers, but also considering maybe setting up a farm if I am here that long."
no subject
"That's pretty ambitious," she smiles, teasing even despite the truth of it. "Sounds like this isn't your first time getting whisked around the multiverse."
She regards him a second longer.
"Or you just move around a lot back home where you're from."
no subject
"Both, actually. I spent most of my life wandering, working different jobs, seeing the world. I worked a lot of different jobs along the way. I only settled down about three years ago. But as soon as I did, I got swept away to a whole new world. And not the friendly type. I was really rather glad to come here, in all due honesty."
He spreads his hands, nodding. He is so very glad not to be in Duplicity anymore. That place was scary and disturbing, and he had not found a single way to stop it. It had been a humbling, and terrifying, experience, right up there with his death.
06 winging it
Harking their wares on Gazin's market is still easily her least favorite part of working at the apothecary. Unfortunately, the old pharmacist feels the same way and so Wen Qing finds herself regularly on the market with a small table, selling the simple teas and poultices the peasants will use to self-medicate. At home, it may be considered beneath a doctor but it's still work in the field and it pays for room and board.
no subject
"What sort of things do you have for minor pain relief? I need suitable replacements for what I managed to bring with me."
no subject
She looks down at the table with her wares laid out, finally placing a hand on a jar with small pieces of willow bark. "Chewing willow bark will help against pain and inflammation, and ease the fever. We've got a new shipment of feverfew in as well." She starts rattling off another few options, though most of her thoughts are still on her customer herself.
