She nodded firmly when he spoke of staying out of trouble. Maybe he had a better head on his shoulder than his jovial manner made it look... or like she assumed of all people, really. She was always ready to assume people were idiots until they proved themselves better than that.
"Yes, I'm from someplace very similar. Why, it might even be the same world, for all I can tell, just a different continent. We don't know what lays beyond our continent, we only have rumors about people from beyond the sea." She reached for the staff she carried on her back. "They have magic here, too, but they don't hate mages... or are foolish enough to try and lock them up." An attempt which she clearly wouldn't take kindly to.
