Elizabeth herself isn't someone who normally enjoys herself at parties, not to any great degree, but having come to the second of two places she simply cannot leave she's decided to drink a bit of whiskey and just accept it for the time being. It's madness to fight and rail against something you cannot change (as she well knows) so she's content enough at this party for the time being.

She passes a drink to the woman next to her and gives her a bit of a smile. "We might as well enjoy the party while it's here. I'm sure there's something more productive we could be doing but here we are, drinking whiskey and watching dancers."
