Zichen knows more of his future than poor Xingchen does. Some things are difficult to relate - especially things that have been proven awful enough to crush someone's soul. Zichen has never been crushed. Oh he will die, yet he finds a reason to carry on even then.

"I did not speak to you much."

Perhaps that can be amended?

"You seem...older. Before, you did not recognize me."
